Climb Notch Mountain?
How much extra time would climbing Notch Mountain from the Notch mountain shelter add to the Mount of the Holy Cross hike via Halo ridge? Planning on doing this oct 15-18, so how early of a start should we get since we don't really have to worry about afternoon thunderstorms? Also, if there is ice on the ridge, would Microspikes still be helpful without snow to grip to?
