Bill's athletic ability is exceeded only by his sterling character.
We have climbed Little Bear, Thunder Pyramid and Haggerman together. All very tough peaks and I was happy to have been your partner on those climbs. I look forward to the future climbs with you.

Best wishes!

Cereal wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2020 7:19 am Bill, there has been murmuring amongst the naysayers, that you may not have actually topped out on the true summit of Sunlight Peak. Can you please provide unequivocal proof?

Thanks and congratulations!! :P

And an excellent post, joflyer22!
You were with me on my last 5 14ers to complete my journey to 58, thank you and look forward to the climbs we have coming up this year. And is the the video just incase there is a question about Sunlight Peak summit https://youtu.be/1lXCnOtawtw
daway8 wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2020 7:29 am Congratulations!!! I guess you guys must have been the ones ahead of me helping to pack down the trail that day - thanks!

That was a cold and windy Finisher! When I reached the summit just before 12:30pm the EMT told me the readings from the equipment up there were -19F with a ten minute average for the wind at 44mph! Cool way for you to finish!
I think we passed each other when you were pretty close to the summit, in all black with the yellow boots. Nice work on getting out there on a windy and cold day

Congrats Bill! I don't think we've climbed anything together, but it's always a pleasure catching up at the Spring Gathering.
“There are two kinds of climbers: those who climb because their heart sings when they’re in the mountains, and all the rest.” - Alex Lowe

"There have been joys too great to describe in words, and there have been griefs upon which I cannot dare to dwell; and with those in mind I say, 'Climb if you will, but remember that courage and strength are nought without prudence, and that a momentary negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime. Do nothing in haste, look well to each step, and from the beginning think what may be the end.'" - Edward Whymper
