Late Spring on Antero |
I'll tell you what I'm liking. All the TRs so far from this Memorial Day weekend! I'm hoping for an overflowing cornacopia of hiking reports as the days go on here.
I climbed Mount Antero and great was the joy thereof. Great weather, mild wind (until the summit) and I wasn't too pushed physically.

Met some cool folks up there. And enjoyed, as always, a fantastic burger at K's in Buena Vista.
Vital Stats:
Start Time: 6am Baldwin Gulch TH
Creek Crossing: 7am
Pt. 13,800: 10:30am
Summit: 11:30am (My first am summit in a long while)
Base of Mount Cronin: 1:15pm
Decided not to climb Mount Cronin: 1:18pm
Back at car: 4:30pm
I seem to find myself having great times on peaks that are typically described as unimpressive. Antero was one of those for me. I loved it.
