 Antero- Standard

We left Denver at 5am and started hiking at about 8:30am. The weather was sunny but chilly.

The day was perfect. There was nobody else up there the whole day.

We left the jeep road and hiked up the ridge to Antero. The wind was brutal in the saddle, but let up as we climbed higher.

The walk over to the final pitch was fun.

We hit the summit in a little over 3 hours. After a brief lunch, I had a little surprise for Amy...

She was totally surprised, and my dream of proposing on the top of the mountain came true!

When I got the email from Amy on Tuesday morning, I was so excited for you. I haven't been able to get a hold of her yet, but that is the best proposal for girls like us! Way to go, Craig! Not only was it a dream proposal, but it was on top of the mtn I keep saying I am going to do. That being said, you guys have inspired me to the San Juans this weekend. Too bad you guys work Saturdays!
(btw-to Amy I am Rachel )
