 Report
I wish that I could give you a little more info on the skiing conditions, but as I indicated in my previous post I was unable to get to the saddle, and the summit ridge. From what I could see from the road past Leavick there was good snow cover for the entire route. The problem is that it it impossible for me to estimate the depth of the cover along the upper portions of the route. Snow depths along the road ranged from a few inches to a couple of feet. I skinned on continuous snow from the car almost to the Dauntless mine, but I was carrying my mountaineering boots in my pack so that I could switch if the summit ridge wasnt holding enough snow for skiing. Hope this helps.
