Mt. Sherman Hike - 8/06 4 Mile Creek TH
Twas the morning of the new moon and all throughout the mosquito range not creature was stirring, not even a marmot...

Started hike at 5:30AM & summitted at 6:45. 10 mile wind made it feel like it was in the mid-30s or so at the peak. Excellent road to the TH area (I believe I parked my 2WD vehicle about 11500). Good view of Leadville, which I dont remember seeing from my Decalibron hike last week. Beautiful day. Did not stay on the top for very long due to the wind. Ran down the non-talus portions of the hike - made it back to the TH at 7:30. Im sure the 10 or so folks just hitting the trail thought I was nuts. The only creature I saw was 1 squinny. I love the South Park area!!!
