Info: Couple of rough spots on the road that you have to drive slowly on with a 2wd. I hit the bottom of my car a few times because I wasn't careful. Otherwise, passable for any vehicle with some careful driving.

Info: As has been discussed, this road is easily 2WD passable. I made it up without any issues in a basic station wagon, 5-6" of clearance. Other than a couple badly rutted spots where low-clearance vehicles just need to slow and pick a line, it's your typical dirt road with some minor washboarding and small rocks at times but nothing to worry about. Several 2WD sedans at the trailhead (Impreza, Corolla, etc). If anything I think the road is overall better than around this time last year. Lot was full but not exploding today, only a few vehicles parked along the road near the TH. There was some sort of large gathering at the Community House Saturday night, I suspect this was why the dispersed camping was largely occupied but we still found a spot up high.

Info: Agree-- I suspect the TH update by CaptCO dated 9/1/2019 is likely intended for the North Halfmoon Creek TH (a la Massive). I was just up The Half Moon (Tigiwon, aka FR 707) road to the TH for Holy Cross on 9/13/2019. Was able to drive 20-30 mph *almost* the entire way. With a full bladder. It is most certainly passable in a 2WD passenger car. I could've eaten a sandwich while driving this thing. Never fear.

Info: Road is dry and a bit bumpy, but definite manageable. Lots of cars Saturday at 1pm when we arrived, but were able to get a spot by the trailhead.

Info: According to the latest forest service update, as of 6/28 tigiwon road is open. It says "one snow drift beyond community house" so I'm not sure if you can make it all the way to the TH, but I plan to give it a shot this weekend. https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd542981.pdf

Info: Just got off the phone with the Eagle-Holy Cross Ranger District office - the Tigiwon Road will not be opening today as scheduled due to too much snow still up there. Not a surprise but just wanted to get the information posted. They will reassess next weekend to hopefully have it open by July 4th.

Info: You can bike about 3.5 miles in and then skin the rest to the summer TH. There's a slim chance the road opens June 21st as there's a lot of snow on the road still.

Info: There was continuous snow from the Nova guides operation all the way to the half moon TH. Easy snowmobiling to get up there. The lower parts of the road probably have another week until some dirt starts to show. The cross is skiing great!

Info: 2WD Camry made it to the top no problem. Road is in great shape. Just take care to avoid a couple of rocks that could graze your undercarriage and you'll be fine.
