Info: Road has a few snowy/icy patches but they are generally short...longest one was maybe 25 feet. it was no problem with all terrain tires.

Info: Drove up to the mine in a 2006 Subaru Outback. The one major obstacle toward the bottom was a smidge dicey with my clearance, but navigable. Road is starting to hold some snow, but if you have medium clearance and are comfortable driving a 4WD road, you should be okay until it gets more snow.

Info: I parked at the lower lot right off 91. After walking up the mile and a half to the upper TH, I believe most trucks/SUVs could make it up there. Not too many places to flip around, but a relatively easy 4x4 road.

Info: I used snowshoes from about 200 yards from the 2WD all the way above 12000'. I doubt the upper 4WD TH will be melted out for a month. There is still a ton of snow up there as seen in the picture.

Info: The road has a semi-gnarly rut section early on which has gotten worse since I was up there in June. I chose to park right below it at a pull off (room for one vehicle) and walked ~1mile up the road. Any 4wd vehicle with clearance will be fine.

Info: Drove up this morning. Apart from two deep ruts within the first 100 meters or so from the lower lot, the road is a rough 2WD or very easy 4WD. I imagine any AWD vehicle would not have a problem driving to the gate.

Info: This is in regards to the upper trail head at the gate closure. Some patchy snow along the road, but not bad at all. Made it to the gate parking in a Ford Escape no problem. Over the course of the day there were some pickups (one with summer tires) and multiple SUVs that made it without issue. However, the weather moving in today may change this.

Info: Drove a Jeep Wrangler easily to the mine. Subaru and like vehicles should have no problem. There is one rough spot that lower clearance vehicles should pay attention too, near the start of the road. Would not do 2WD over that spot.

Info: The road is blocked by snow a few hundred yards above the highway and lower parking lot. A handful of dispersed camp spots are available and free of snow in this lower section.

Info: Road is passable for ~200 yards, then blocked by snow. Lots of snow on road, will take a few more weeks to melt out.

Info: Road is nearly 100% covered with packed snow, but easily drive-able to the 4WD TH at the gate.

Info: Snow and ice on the road but my stock Ford Ranger made it with no problems. I wouldn‘t take an AWD vehicle up there. Good luck.

Info: Road is snowpacked and not driveable beyond the Winter/2WD lot... ample parking available there. Its a popular area and the road is well packed for hiking, but you will need snowshoes if you leave the road to go for any of the peaks.

Info: Road is open all the way up but . . . icy. Slushy on 10-15, drove to top in Tacoma; got 1.0 miles up following morning before having to stop due to traction on upgrades. Set of chains would have done trick, easier to walk than chain up.
