8/1/2020 Route: Ripsaw ridge Posted On: 8/2/2020, By: lkk8815 Info: Someone who definitely wasn't me had butterfingers yesterday and dropped the pencil from the summit register and lost it way down in between the rocks (sorry!!). Really hoping it wasn't a historic 70 year old pencil as the register is the one dating back to 1948...If someone heading up there sees this, could you bring a new one? After a long day on Ripsaw Ridge, I have zero plans to go back up there anytime soon. The ridge is clear, snow is all on the north/east side and doesn't affect the ridge climb. We went up Kneeknocker pass from Piney Lake and then did the northwest ridge of Peak C to start. Since we didn't go up the SW couloir, I wasn't paying much attention but it looked like there was only a little snow remaining in the upper gullies of Peak C/C' but mostly just dry loose rock. |
