11/16/2020 Route: East Ridge Posted On: 11/16/2020, By: geojed Info: Was able to get to TH in my Accord. Good trench to tree line. Mix of tundra and snow to ridge. Easy to navigate around snow patches and stay mostly on tundra and rock to summit. |

10/11/2020 Route: Mt. Logan Posted On: 10/12/2020, By: blazintoes Info: This TR is helpful https://www.14ers.com/php14ers/tripreport.php?trip=12919 Biked up to the wilderness boundary then followed camp creek to the upper basin which was dry and imagine this would be a marshy mess in late spring/early summer. Tree cover was helpful as the cold front pushed through. Tolerable winds above treeline. Wind shelter up top was helpful. Seems snow skipped the front range peaks. This low hanging fruit of a peak was quite sweet. Get it while it's hot! |

5/28/2020 Route: East Ridge Posted On: 5/28/2020, By: loomermj13 Info: Got lost twice early on by not following the trail well, but that's probably more our own fault than the trail; however, it could be faint in places. Summer conditions on the Tanglewood Trail, but still some snow fields on Rosalie Peak that are fairly easy to cross without traction or flotation. The last 1.5 miles up Rosalie was brutal and took us a little over an hour. Overall, 3.5 hours up, 2.5 hours down. |

5/23/2020 Route: East Ridge Posted On: 5/23/2020, By: Dan_Suitor Info: Even less snow now. Only a few snow fields near the top. No traction needed. |

5/9/2020 Route: Rosalie Group Posted On: 5/9/2020, By: RWinters Info: Trail is dry to 10,200 ft where patchy ice/snow begins. No traction is needed. Patchiness continues to treeline. Above treeline most snow is avoidable except the last 300 ft or so on the upper mountain. Feels like summer. |

4/8/2020 Route: Rosalie Group Posted On: 4/10/2020, By: tjagger Info: The Tanglewood creek trailhead is accessible but the last .5 miles are a bit icy via Park County, CR43. The trail is mostly packed snow with a few dry spots in the first 1 mile. The summit ridge has patches of snow. While I used snow shoes, the trail is well packed out and could be done with micro spikes while the summit ridge can be done without traction devices (MICROspikles). In the afternoon, as it was warm, I was glad to use snow shoes. The day was very warm with 20 mph winds at the summit. I saw only a couple of hikers on the trail. Start 9:30am summit 1:45 pm at car 5:00pm. Pictures taken at 10,400' 2.0 miles in, The summit looking at Mount Evans, and on the Ridge from the summit at 12,700' |

3/5/2020 Route: Rosalie Group Posted On: 3/5/2020, By: wondering_hough Info: I used snowshoes from the car to the saddle and back. The ridge is wind blown and dry. Nice day with no real wind at the summit. |

10/26/2019 Route: Tanglewood Trl Posted On: 11/24/2019, By: 69vette Info: Snow/ice mix from Rosalie Trl junction turning to moderate snow through the switchbacks. Bare ground at tree line but snow drifts begin to cover trail soon after. Trail disappears a few hundred feet below ridge line with some post-holing near the top. Traction/snow shoes helpful. Moderate sized, isolated snow drifts along summit ridge are easily avoided but require more work to avoid. Summit dome is clear but windy. |

10/13/2019 Route: Rosalie Group Posted On: 10/13/2019, By: salmanalsaif Info: Very little snow/ice on the trail. Essentially summer conditions (winds weren't bad at the ridge/summit). Took off traction after a few hundred feet and didn't put it back on again. |

9/11/2019 Route: Rosalie Group Posted On: 9/11/2019, By: wondering_hough Info: The winds kept it interesting above 12500 today. Definitely happy to have a shell and the inner part of my cold weather mitts. It was nice to feel fall and a bite of cold in the air. |

7/16/2019 Route: From Mt Evans Hwy Posted On: 7/17/2019, By: IHikeLikeAGirl Info: Dry-ish, most of the way. The lichen covered rocks were wet/damp and slick. One short snowfield between Epaulet and "Epaulie". Can go around, but was easy enough to cross at a mellow angle, ~20 feet across. I met, "Brad" from, "Summits on the Air." He broadcasts from a peak, twice a week (year around), had an impressive antenna setup and everything. :) Pic #1 - Snowfield - wide snowfield in the middle of the picture Pic #2 - DJ Brad |
