Info: Fun lap up Sherman today. Brought spikes, but didn't put them on. Patchy snow all the way to the summit, although any deeper snow on the trail is well packed down. No postholing, so definitely don't need floatation yet.Took a little less than two and a half hours, car to car.

Info: Patchy snow along the route. Just below the knee in a few spots but nothing crazy. I wore spikes but ran into a few people that didn't have them and they were fine.

Info: conditions great. summer conditions - dry and little breezy on saturday. Temps were cooler at start, mid 40s and when exposed to wind. We carried layers and shed or added as temps changed going up and then back down. Parking was decent for a saturday morning after arriving a little later than planned ~7:20am, still able to park very near the gate at start of trailhead. A little bit of a congo line but not as bad as a few weeks ago at bierstadt.

Info: Trail was in summer conditions and dry. We thankfully ended up with a non windy day and perfect conditions at the peak. Folks need to pick up their toilet paper though! Sadly a fair amount of it at the beginning in the bushes :(

Info: Hiked on Weds 8/23 as my first 14er. Great weather, only one spot where a light breeze blew cold. We left at 6:15 am and returned to vehicles at 11:25 am. A group of 8 middle aged, fit women. It was one others first time. I found rocks easy to walk on but a pole I bought on Amazon did the job. It was awesome how many other 14ers you can see from Mount Sherman.

Info: Full summer conditions all the way to the summit. Never set foot on snow, only snow field is a little strip next to the trail up on the summit ridge. Beautiful day, only a bit breezy on the ridge. Somewhat tricky to remain on trail once reaching the ridge as the cairns are spread out but never was never truly off path. The road all the way to the gate was fine until the last quarter mile or so - I've done some rough roads in a sedan but wouldn't recommend it here. Glad I had the clearance and 4WD. 3.5 hour roundtrip with 30 minutes spent on the summit.

Info: See my Iowa Gulch TH report, easy workaround for the road closure to get to the 4wd TH. At the parking area, The trail can take a few minutes to find in the dark as the signs are missing. Once across the grassy area, enter the talus slope. Avoid the tendency to climb too much as the trail can be a bit hard to follow. Once in the draw between Sherman and Sheridan, the trail goes straight up gravely hard pack. Nearly everyone in our group slipped on this section coming down. That being said, its short and not exposed at all. Keep in mind, this side gains the same elevation as the fourmile TH side, but does it in 1 mile less distance. Steep at times, but doable for a reasonably fit 50 yo who can from sea level the day before.

Info: Very windy only sections of ridge between saddle and summit, perhaps 50+ mph. Come prepared.

Info: Bluebird day, perfect hiking conditions. Snagged the last spot in the area near the gate about 7am. Spots along the road and upper pull-offs were filling up too. 3.5 hours round trip. One very short snow crossing near 13,000 ft. No need for spikes. Snow at the top is easily avoidable, though one could follow the well-worn bootpack. Still enough snow left in the saddle for glissading but its melting fast.

Info: Summer conditions on 95% of the trail except for two small snow crossings nearing the ridge. Weather was great, not a cloud in the sky, we summited around 4:30PM but it was pretty windy closer to the peak. 1st 14er done, many more to come.

Info: The indefinite road closure along CR 2 added 8 miles total on foot just to get to/from the Iowa Gulch Trailhead lacking a known alternate route. One vehicle somehow made it to the trailhead but didn't encounter a soul along the route until the Sherman/Sheridan saddle. Wildflowers - especially Columbines - are prime. Route is completely free of snow, only a little mud in the willows below the trailhead.

Info: Still snow for glissading at the saddle. Should be in for another week. Looks steep from afar but it's fairly tame once you're in it. Spikes not needed, but some snow travel is still required at the saddle and near the summit.

Info: Traction not needed but preferable for the last quarter mile at the top. Most ppl not wearing traction and nobody was slipping. No flotation needed at all. Snow absent from 99% of the trail, just the very bottom and the very top.

Info: Began at 7:00a. Summit at 9:30a. Return to vehicle by 10:45a. Good trip with middle schooler. Trail in good condition. Spikes not necessary but still usable at the saddle and near summit. Glissade down from the saddle was great, though starting to get mushy around 10:00. That snow field will likely be gone within a week. Parking was fairly full. Not surprising for a holiday weekend. Didn't expect to park next to a Tesla from Texas.
