Condition Update

16 miles from where you can park your car, then you'll walk a mile to intermittent snow. From the upper trailhead it's skin-able to near the saddle with Iron Nipple. NW gully holds snow, we chose to take it half way then climb up to the ridge. North Face is skiable from the summit. We brought our powder skis, probably wasn't necessary. We skied off the ridge from the saddle and didn't take the skis off and slap the skins back on until about a mile from the upper trailhead. It's a big day right now.

What do I look like to you!? Your beta chump! ; )
Huerfano looked thin, but there was a line from summit to the valley floor where the North Face mets the valley. I think we would have skied it, if it didn't take 8 miles to just summit Lindsey. It'll melt from the summit soon. If you look at pictures 5 and 6 you can see the whole line.

Thanks for the conditions update. Any guess as to how much longer the North Couloir will be in for skiing? And when it will be possible to drive closer to the TH?

See the the trailhead for a detailed report on that.

As to the North Face/Couloir... I doubt you can time the upper trailhead being driveable and the face being in from the exact summit.
