Info: My father, sister and I ascended to the point below the crux wall, where my sister remained while my dad and I continued up the ridge proper on the crux wall. Weather was perfect, mid 50's, light breeze, and sunny. We did a slight variation, gaining the ridge lower than the standard line by traversing out to just above the last large spire then following the ridge direct. My fourth time up this headwall, but I was still nervous as my dad is 3 months shy of 80 years old! Who else that age is doing this?? Proud of him. Anyway, conditions are still great up there.

Info: Road is relatively easy, never put Jeep in 4wd. Plenty of parking and camp spots along the way.
The trail is probably one of the steepest of all 14er approaches - flat for 1st mile, then straight up.
Make sure you stay to the right where Ridge splits from Gully route, otherwise it takes some class 3/4 to get to the ridge.
Took Gully route on the way down, right now there is 10-15 feet chimney that requires class 3 downclimb towards the bottom of the gully.

Info: Dry of course, stayed fully ridge direct from the saddle. It was some extra class 4 until the headwall where if you stay right it was some light class 5. Everywhere else was class 2+. Fun route but personally I wish the class 4-5 stuff was longer. Hope this review helps for those looking to stay fully ridge direct.

Info: The rail was very easy to follow except for the part where you get to the first boulder field. From there the trail splits and rejoins several times, and I got off track and had to find my way back with the GPS a couple of times. Not a problem if you pay better attention than I did. Also, right after you cross the river, I thought for a moment I should go left, since there is a tree down on the trail, but go right as depicted in image #3 of the Northwest Gully route guide. The trail is clear the rest of the way until you get to the saddle and start up the ridge. From there, cairns can be a bit hard to spot. The rock was very stable. It took me 3 hours to summit from the trailhead, and about 2.5 hours down.

Info: Made it to the upper trailhead just fine in a Mazda CX5 AWD with 7.5" clearance. Had to crawl over some sections but never bottomed out.

Left trailhead at 6 am, summit at 9 am, back to car by 11:30 am. Took the Northwest Ridge route, very fun and route finding was not hard with the pics. Crux was fun class 3 climbing, not scary or exposed, reminded me of Snowmass S-Ridge.

Info: Such a fun peak! I led my family, youngest 11, up the ridge and everyone loved it. Solid rock the entire way and exposure was never too much. Route finding can be tricky so watch for cairns and other clues, or just load up the gpx.

We did get off route on the ridge and would up on the "sharp points on the ridge" in the pics. Totally doable but definitely the sketchiest part of the climb (class 4/5). We went just left of center on the crux and it never felt above class 3 to me.

We found the description on the site deceiving above the crux. There was still a decent amount of scrambling and multiple false summits before the true summit. None of it was difficult but we weren't mentally ready for that much more climbing based on what we read.

There was a little smoke but it didn't impact us much.

Overall, an amazing day!

Info: Summer conditions, no snow.
Took the gully up and ridge down. The gully is definitely the easiest way, the scree is completely avoidable by choosing solid rock on the right side. The ridge was fun class 3 moves but and some scree, definitely the harder choice.

Info: Trail itself is completely clear with hundreds of wild Colorado columbines in bloom! My first exposure to class 3/class 4 terrain was fantastic. The road to the trailhead, however, was not. I'm surprised this is rated 3 for road difficulty, it was definitely rougher than the Huron trailhead road, but nonetheless I made it in my crosstrek.

Info: Lindsey is completely summer conditions; no snow at all present. Took the C4 variation up on the ridge, very fun and solid rock with some exposure. Definitely spicier than the C3 standard ridge route that I took last time, but the rock is fantastic.

Info: As others have said the road into the trailhead is in good shape for crossover or above, just really bumpy, no issues in my Rav4.
Route is totally snow free (including the gulley) the whole way, flowers are starting to pop. Last water on the standard approach is at 11500ft, so plan accordingly.

Info: Basically summer conditions. A few patches of snow remaining along the ridge route, but almost entirely dry. We hiked in trail runners and didn't need any spikes/etc. The ridge definitely seemed like the way to go, the gulley was very dry and looked pretty loose.

Info: Nearly summer conditions if you take the ridge route. Some small snow crossings both in the trees and on the ridge. Everyone in my party had microspikes, none of us elected to put them on. All three options on the headwall were snow free enough to use. Surprisingly empty, only four parties on the mountain today, probably about 13 people total.
Of note, one member of my party got caught in a small rockslide just below NW Lindsey when we realized we had started taking the gully trail down and attempted to traverse maybe 100 feet to the ridge, directly above the gully route. Totally trash rock, she was lucky to not be seriously hurt and we were lucky in general that there was nobody on the gully route when it happened. The ridge is the way to go.

Info: Substantial lumps of snow remain in the trees, and micro spikes are recommended. Some snow lurks on the crux, but it's not a serious issue. The rest of the route is in nearly Summer conditions, and it's a great time to scramble.

Info: Good conditions right now. Ridge was a little spicier than expected, good exposure for sure. The pictures helped for the crux. There is still deep snow below treeline but there are plenty of tracks so you don’t need spikes or snowshoes. Little to no snow on route above treeline. Beware of the false summit. Marmots are out in full force.
