Here we see some of the inaccuracies of topo maps. A lot of maps have various summit elevations and locations marked incorrectly. Modern data and remeasurements have corrected these elevations online but not all maps reflect these corrections.

But I think you already know that :)

I recently inherited a slew of old USGS topo maps. It is interesting to see the changes from when these maps were first published. One of the maps of the Denver Mountain Parks shows a railroad spur to the west side of Green Mountain (Lakewood variety).

If we add enough layers of spray paint to the cairn we should be able to break 14k

Luckily you can climb this 14er in Utah to make up for the loss of Holy Cross.

I’ve got a large Colorado map from 1957 that also has Holy Cross at 13,996. And has Stewart and Grizz A as 14ers.

yes i'm hear to learn more about that Satanic Mine south of Green Mountain in that one topo of red rocks area?

could we get better look at that one in better light?

EDIT - asked and answered

The Satanic Mine (later renamed the Bluebird Mine) is a historic, 19th-century coal mine located near W. Alameda Parkway and S. McIntyre Street on the border of Lakewood and Morrison,

Operations

Opened: Started in 1872 by Otis Rooney on land belonging to the historic Rooney family ranch.

Operations: Reached depths of 680 feet through nearly vertical coal beds and included 17 levels of extraction, outbuildings, and a 4-story hotel.

The 1921 Disaster: On December 3, 1921, a coal dust explosion killed six miners who were attempting to stop an underground fire.

Renaming and Closure: Following ventilation improvements, it was renamed the Bluebird Mine before shutting down completely in 1936 during the Great Depression.
