The other topic on favorite Colorado summits got me thinking... Of my own best or favorite climbs ever. Not necessarily the hardest or longest or most difficult, but just the most memorable or enjoyable experiences.
For me, probably:
Half Dome
Mount Shasta (s)
Longs
Mount Fuji
Pyramid
Izta (s)
Ruapehu (s)
Mt Whitney MR (s)
Mount Rainier (s)
Basin/Saddleback, Giant (s), ADK
Shirouma dake, Japan (s)
Mount Saint Helens (s)
(s) denotes snow climb
This was hard to narrow down, but each of the above climbs had very specific reasons why I chose them.
What's yours?

Re: Favorite / "Best" mountain climbs
Favorites in no particular order (takes too much mental energy to rank em
)
1. Northridge Mt Baker, Washington
2. Kautz Mt. Rainer, Washington
3. Mount Aspiring New Zealand
4. Cabeza del Condor (Condor's Head) Bolivia
5. Ham and Eggs Moose’s Tooth Alaska
Honorable Mention Everest didn’t summit, it was a junk show, got really sick, but it was beautiful and I learned a few things.

The summit is a source of power. The long view gives one knowledge and time to prepare. The summit, by virtue of the dizzying exposure, leaves one vulnerable. A bit of confidence and a dash of humility is all we get for our work. Yet to share these moments with friends is to be human. C. Anker
