Cheap Cigars, TallGrass, Bill and BMW's

Post by CheapCigarMan »

Driving to work I wondered if TallGrass traded his bike for an auto. After inquiring, Osprey and another forum member said I had it all wrong. That this was Bill's car!
Happy to see Bill still thinks fondly of TallGrass.

Nice car spotting.

Bill who?

This looks like the official starting post of the off-season.

Given the tendency of assholes to drive BMWs, it would make sense for tallgrass to drive a BMW.

The only way to know for sure is to check the roof of the car. If TallGrass does indeed drive it, there will be a climbing bolt drilled into the top.

Dave, have you ever met or spoke to Tallgrass in person?

+1. I have met with him a couple of times in KC. He IS a little socially inept (the armchair psychologist in me guesses he might be "on the spectrum".)
For this reason, he sometimes says things that most people know not to say, even if they are true.
For example, I asked him once if he wanted to go climbing sometime, and he told me he really didn't see how it would benefit him.

That being said, he is basically a good guy to my appearances.
If anyone can cite examples of things that he has DONE that were jerky things to do, as opposed to saying things that were insensitive, then fine.

Plus, what do you have against BMW's?

I’d say this is proof that Tallgrass is actually Bill’s troll account … except that I meet a guy in Kansas City who called himself Tallgrass and the up close persona matched the online Tallgrass posts. :-D

No, Rob, I have not. Are you here to defend his honor?

dave there's no need to throw tomatoes. he's an incredibly nice and generous person IRL and it's a bummer you haven't shared a beer with him around a campfire.

I didn't always get along with TG on the forum, but he was nice in person.

Either way, he hasn't been on the forum for years so I don't know why anyone would want to bash him now.

As far as the past goes, people like Rangerguy were way over the top than he was so maybe bring him up instead.
