Hi Everyone.
I wanted to hop on here and announce my plan to pursue the supported 14er FKT, starting on July 26th, in The Chicago Basin.
The current record, held by Andrew Hamilton, is a very tough time to beat of 9 Days and 21 Hours. My goal is closer to the 9 day mark. Andrew and I have talked over the last several months and he has been extremely supportive in route beta and helping me chase this goal, I have so much respect for him.
I realize the monsoon is here, and weather will be one of the main determining factors in how this attempt goes. Ideally, earlier in the season would have been better, but with planning this over a year in advance, this is the date that was set. Balancing reservations, train tickets, crew support, and weather is not an easy task, and I have quickly realized not everything is going to be 100%.
I am going to give this record everything I have until I am forced to quit from weather or other factors. I have trained and scouted for this heavily over the last year, and feel honored and grateful to have the crew and logistical support to pursue this record this summer. No matter what happens, this last year has been an adventure of a lifetime, and I have a newfound appreciation for the mountains after having spent hundreds of hours training in them.
All of my tracking links and the ability to follow along are through my Instagram bio and my website.

I have done everything in my power to obtain permits, speak to landowners, purchase/pay land use fees, and make reservations up to a year in advance for this attempt, all in an effort to try to do everything by the book.
One of my crew members, (aka my younger sister) will be making updates to my socials during the attempt. She will do her best to keep all the info she is posting accurate, but have some grace on any route mix ups, ha.
Stoked to go for this, grateful for the opportunity no matter what happens.
Drew

You’ve put a lot of work into this. And you know i think it’s great that your family will share the attempt with you. If you succeed on your first try that will be amazing, but if you fail you will learn even more to put towards another attempt. So either way, you win! Good luck out there!

Wishing you a record time, Drew. Nice meeting you on top of Princeton.
One's 13er list should be longer than one's 14er list. There are like 10x more of them afterall. (Barely keeping up on this, but very aware of it.)
