I just wanted wanted to give everyone a heads up that I got turned around at about 1 mile up Halfmoon Creek Road due to a washout under construction this morning. I arrived there at 5:30 this morning to find the road blocked off and construction equipment working on the road. Someone was already waiting and said that they planned to have it open within 30 minutes. I fell asleep for about 10 minutes and was awaken by a sheriff's deputy saying the road would be closed for at least three hours. I left and headed to Mt. Evans.
Not sure if it is open now but figured I would give people a heads up.
