Snakes....

Post by Mohare77 »

Making a trip to chicago basin in a couple weeks. Seen too many snakebite stories in my home state and one in Denver over the weekend. What could you do if you were bitten on a trip like the chicago basin (likely the approach) where you can't get to a car very quickly. Everytime I've been at any altitude my cellphone is worthless, not sure if 911 is easier to dial at altitude, or can you buy anti-venom, or some kind of gps help alert. Or is this just one of the risks of the trip like falling off the mountain is a risk?

You will not need to worry about snakes in the Chicago Basin or on the approach, it is too high.
You will need to worry about goats and falling off the mountain however.
