Based on the property line photo does this mean the Iron Nipple and Huerfano were always fair game as long as you were careful not to cross over?

Yes, Huerfano Peak and Iron Nipple were not affected by the closure.

For the Gully route for those with previous knowledge, when typically does the snow melt out? I assume going in early-mid June would be safe for the snow to still be in the gully?

Depends. You can expect snow in June especially the higher you go.

An opening of Lindsey with a waiver is certainly a positive step but it appears they are still working out the process. They are in contact with CFI, who can help.

Fingers crossed and I hope it gets worked out so we’ll have access soon. Woot!!

Ahhh! Really hope Lindsey stakeholders and CFI have really made some progress here and that there might be good news some day. I have been waiting patiently to climb this beauty. :))

These are from June 15th 2019 after a snow year that was well above average. I had ascended the ridge which was mostly dry.

From their diagram, it appears the property line dips below the ridge on the way to Iron Nipple into some uncomfortable-looking terrain. I doubt if anyone would notice, though.

I'm sure the intent is that the property line for the ranch follows the ridge line. That is also the county line between Costilla and Huerfano Counties, and the definition would almost certainly follow the ridge. Most likely the exhibit was just traced in Google Earth and is not the legal boundary.
