Lake Como rideshare 10 July
Anyone planning on driving up Lake Como road on Thursday 10 July with a car that can get to at least 8850 (or 10k, if I'm allowed to be really greedy)? 2 climbers with backpacking bags seeking a lift from down low. We'll be staying up there for 2-3 nights but can get ourselves down. We're happy to buy gas, carry beer, etc for anyone with a capable vehicle. You'd be welcome to hike with us, I've done Little bear and Blanca/Ellingwood before, but also totally okay if you want to hike on your own and are willing to give us a lift. We'd also be avaliable Aug 21st.

Re: Lake Como rideshare 10 July
My buddy and I are thinking of heading up there on Wed, 7/30. I did Blanca/Ellingwood two years ago and LB last year, (drove up to the lake both times) but he hasn't done any of them. He wants to do B & E, no interest in LB. We'll probably drive up on Weds and chill. Then hike and drive out on Thursday.

If you made it to the lake, I want to see pictures of your truck.

I'm sorry but we are linited to just those 2 days. I understand that means we'll probably have to hoof it. Thanks for your offer and I hope you get the road and the peaks.

Fair enough, just thought I'd put it out there!
My offroad rig is a 2011 Nissan Xterra that I've modified heavily. I'm constantly surprising Jeep guys on the difficult trails
That said, I've been offroading for almost 40 years, so I've learned how to pick a line!

Got it, when I had a RZR 900 XP I also drove it to the lake. Many of the hikers I saw said I was never going to get it up the road. I have been offroading for about 20 years. Picking a line is a great skill to have. Enjoy the weekend.H I McDunnough wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 6:18 am Fair enough, just thought I'd put it out there!
