On behalf of 14ers.com and the 14ers.com Facebook admin team, I'm excited to share that Nick Gianoutsos, a.k.a. Mongoose on here, is back to once again host his annual webinar!
When? May 22nd at 6 p.m.
Who can attend? Everyone! While this is geared toward those new to 14ering, all are welcome.
What will I learn? This webinar will cover the foundational aspects of hiking 14ers safely AND responsibly: where to begin, with what gear, and what the alpine entails. There will be time for your questions. (Historically, the webinar actually goes over time due to the popularity of the Q&A portion!)
Who is Nick? He's a 14er finisher with 150+ summits spanning all seasons, including some ski descents. He's a valued partner to the 14ers.com community - and to the 14er community, at large, with his volunteer work through the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative. He's given back to the community in a number of ways including through hosting educational talks throughout the years. He's a great person to learn from.
Others in attendance will include some 14ers.com Facebook page admins as well as myself on behalf of the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative.
Thank you Mary and Nick, the webinar and discussion were excellent. It was nice seeing so many new-to-Colorado fourteeners attendees, most of us remember being them upon embarking on our individual adventures. It takes a village and 14ers.com and CFI are our town squares where the two of you and many others offer support that benefits the rest of us. Again...thanks.
Thank you so much, Peter, for your kind words and for attending! I'm glad you enjoyed it. We for sure are always excited to help set new folks up for success when they're getting out into the mountains we all enjoy so much.
