Columbia - New Snow?

Post by ColoNativeGal »

Hey All, just looking to see how much snow fell this week/today on Columbia? I'm hoping the last trip report for the SE ridge from June 1 is still solid. Any info is appreciated. Thank you!

Opensnow shows 0.4" in that area for the last 24 hours, fwiw. Not sure about earlier this week. I posted the 6/1 update and I don't think that amount of snow would make any difference to the climb. Until 13,600 it was possible to stay off of snow almost entirely. Beyond that point, I'd be more concerned about postholing along the ridge.

One more data point: Windy shows 0.6" of snow over the past 8 days for Columbia.

Thanks, yeah not much snow. I didn't think it would make much of a difference. Well, looks like my friend is out on Sunday so a mute point now. :( Looking to do something else with a different friend, lol.

Thanks everyone for your input!
