If you haven't spent time in the Indian Peaks Wilderness yet, HIGHLY recommend. Whether that's for peaks or not. The hikes to Lake Isabelle and Blue Lake are really great. If in the mood for a peak, no reason not to do Mt. Audubon. Really great fall 13er with crazy good views!kmoss2 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 7:59 pm Again, really appreciate the input! (especially the sentiment not to worry too much about those flocking to CO for fall foliage -- I sure will be up before them, lol.) So helpful to hear from those that have done it before. I'm feeling inspired to go for it but plan flexibly. So if weather prevents 14er action, I'll hike up to where I can versus force something risky. That said, if anyone has any recommendations for great lower elevation hikes in the fall anywhere from Denver to Sawatch Range, I'm all ears. Cheers!
Either way, you got lots of great advice on this thread already, so hope you have a GREAT trip! Be safe, and have fun! :D

Just to close the loop ~ a big thank you to all that gave your input to my initial inquiry. Thrilled to report that the weather was absolutely spectacular ~ basically summer conditions!!! So happy to get 6 peaks in 4 days for one hell of a long weekend. Flew in Wed night, hiked Torreys the next morning, Belford & Oxford Friday, Shavano & Tabeguache Saturday, and Yale on Sunday. Stoked to be at 20 14ers but sad I'll probably have to wait until next summer to hike another one. Oh well! They're not going anywhere
Cheers!
