I drove over Owl Creek pass yesterday, stopped at the same overlook you did for your first shot, colors were great, recommended to anyone in the area, should be good this weekend. Down the other side and past Silver Jack Reservoir also great.TravelingMatt wrote:Some pics from Ouray County

Any good recs for a trailrun for fall colors in the front range? 1 hour drive from Golden would be preferable. Thanks

I'm not a runner, but there is a trail on Kenosha Pass I know, I think a person could run on it, and I drove over Kenosha yesterday and a lot of the trees are still hanging in there, although past peak for sure. Why can I not hold a camera straight? Who knows.

The helmet is the opposite angle. The only sensible explanation is that the helmet is straight, and it's my head (and thus the camera) that is tilted. It explains so much.

I have a similar problem - not the tilted head part, the tilted camera part, horizon always tilted in my photos. Finally bought a camera with a built in level. Even then, when it was level, I was convinced looking through the viewfinder that the camera was tilted. I actually doubted the accuracy of the level, very odd. I've finally convinced myself my eyes, or my brain, something in my head anyway, is the problem, not the level. Someone said try it with the other eye, that does seem to help, except it's not my dominant eye.jdorje wrote:The helmet is the opposite angle. The Telluride area is still a couple days away from peak color. I took this one on 9/28 from the Sunshine Campground.
