AJ,
I was looking at some webcams from the ski resort...and things are looking around peak or close to it. That might be a tad late but you never know. How's CB looking?

Just drove down to Gunnison, 91 > 24 > 285 > 50.

Leaves are mostly gone along 91 and north of the turnoff for 82. A bit more color south of there.

US 50 on both sides of Monarch is very nice and should stay that way for a few more days. No more traffic than usual. If you want to see trees, Monarch is a good place to go.

Summit County itself is otherwise still at or a bit past peak.

Note there are some closures on I-70 in Summit for the next few days. Supposed to be at night, but this afternoon a lot of traffic was being diverted to Dillon Dam Road. Also, 24 through the center of Bunie is one lane each way, and the delay at the traffic light was some four or five light cycles.

For those posting pics. Thank you! From someone that lives in Lone Tree but is working out of state. I am so homesick. I check this link everyday looking forward to the pics. Thank you!

The Crested Butte - Kebler Pass - Ohio Pass area looks like it should be pretty much at peak this week. Here is Crested Butte on Sunday.

I have not had the chance to post my pictures from this weekend, but these are my observations regarding the colors on our recent trip:

Crested Butte area, Scofield Pass, McClure Pass, Kebler Pass and Ohio Pass: peaking now
Aspen, Maroon Bells area: past peak
Castle Creek: peaking now but on the way out
Independence Pass: peaking now
Mt. Elbert area (Twin Lakes side): past peak

Capitol Creek / Peak from Tuesday 9/20:

I believe this area would still be in great shape.

Castle Creek from Wed 9/21:

I believe this area peaked last Thursday/Friday.

As seen on this webcam though, lots of great color still in Aspen/Snowmass...particularly in town. Should hold a lot through this weekend. Fingers crossed!
