We are sooo on the same page, Aubrey! I was reading that the other day and was going to post it here. Thanks! :D (psst ... you need to start posting your trip reports on that website ... 8) )
As if none of us have ever come back with a cool, quasi-epic story instead of being victim to tragic rockfall, a fatal stumble, a heart attack, an embolism, a lightning strike, a bear attack, collapsing cornice, some psycho with an axe, a falling tree, carbon monoxide, even falling asleep at the wheel getting to a mountain. If you can't accept the fact that sometimes "s**t happens", then you live with the illusion that your epic genius and profound wilderness intelligence has put you in total and complete control of yourself, your partners, and the mountain. How mystified you'll be when "s**t happens" to you! - FM

I love lists like this that discard altitude as some sort of benchmark and instead use a different attribute: difficulty. Each one of those peaks looks like they'd be an adventure, a real accomplishment to climb. Hard climbs are more meaningful to me than slogging up most high altitude rock piles, but that's just me; to each his/her own.

Thanks for posting this, it was a fun read.

Funny...being an active member of NWHikers I read that awhile ago and having seen all those mountains myself, agreed.
