Nice day at Lincoln
A bit late of a report, but here it goes. As most of all my hiking days start I woke up at 3:30am after only 4hrs of sleep and met up with my friend Jenny and her farting dog Will (yeah that was not cool Will). We drove up to Alma CO. The idea was to tackle Mt Cameron & Lincoln. Depending on how we felt at that point we would go after Mt Bross ( Saw a guy in a pretty nice Jeep very close to the summit, where the road ends) I had been in this trail during winter, but yesterday was just an explosion of colors all thru bottom of the valley. At the top of Mt Cameron with a view of Mt Lincoln in the back. Still some snow up there Mt Lincoln was our next stop At the summit of Mt Lincoln After a quick snack and an important phone call ( Crazy I'm walking into the summit and my cricket phone rings lol ) Jenny and I decided to give Mt Bross a go. It was still early and there was still no signs of thunderstoms. Mt Democrat (Summited that one last year during winter) from the trail to Mt Bross Looking back at mt Lincoln Jenny, Will and I at the summit of Mt Bross. Couldnt miss taking a shot with my flag. The trek back to the Jeep was rough on the knee's. Steep terrain covered in loose gravel. The gully Old mining shafts in the area. We were back to the TH around 1:10pm

kimo	Been watching your progress 10/7/2010 3:43am I'd seen you on that co4x4 site long before I knew what 14ers.com was. It's great to see someone who shares that same love of gears also seek a more simple and pure experience in our great mountains. Some great wheeling AND hiking up there in the Mosquito. And some great history too...just love that area for it's own unique identity.
zoriloco	Thanks!! 10/7/2010 3:31pm No Will is not a Bulldog but man.... I was like, did your dog just take a dump in the back of my Jeep? :lol: The Knee braces really help. After playing basket ball during all my teen years my knees really took a beating. Yes, I use to post A LOT on CO4x4 back in the day. I dont anymore but yes that is a great site and I still wheel everychance I get. but some places are only reachable by foot and yeah I love it.
