 The Ridge!

Years ago I climbed Mt Lindsey Via the standard gully and swore I'd never climb up it again. Angela and I we're looking for a good scramble we decided to give the Ridge a go, we arrived at the trailhead at 10:30 made camp and passed out. Awake at 4am we made it to treeline just as the sun was rising.

We hiked a bit below the edge on the trail and after this pic we climbed up to the ridge
on the perfect 2+ rock.

The crux wall looks very imposing

As the scrambling started we were both very excited, the ridge reaches toward the crux wa nicely.

However we stayed on the ridge proper almost the whole way to that wall and had to downclimb back a little to avoid the sharp points. There are a few very exposed 4+ moves to stay on the ridge the whole way.

From afar the wall looks very mean

i also hated that standard gully. spooked me a good bit, i thought it would be easy after climbing crestone peak the week before but instead it was terrible! did you feel like you definitely needed ropes on this ridge route?
