"Old Baldy" from 4th of July TH, single summit
Trip report and pics on "Old Baldy" Pt. 13038 in IPW.

This is commonly done along with S. Arapahoe and possibly the traverse to N. Arapahoe as well, all from the 4th of July TH.

However, "Old Baldy" by itself is an enjoyable, easy tundra walkup worthy of its own hike as well, if you're pressed for time or just want something mellow. This time of year had plenty of wildflowers, waterfalls, and great views, along with a visit to the 4th of July mine and views of Arapahoe Glacier. Leaving early, we had the easy, flat summit to ourselves. Definitely recommended compared to some of the other crowded, popular peaks! (Though you will run into dozens of people when you descend).
