Peak: Mt. Meeker 13,911ft
Route: Dreamweaver
Vert: Approx. 4,500
Mileage: Approx. 11
Time: A little under 9 hours car to car
Group: Carl (Wesley), Sean (sstrauss), Chris, & Marc
This report is going to be short. Great route, although it was just about out for us. Snow was soft but the ice was ok. Brought a light rack but didn't break out the rope. Thanks to Tom for letting me borrow that tool. Thanks to Dayna for letting me borrow her camera. Another incredible morning in the Longs Peak / Mt. Meeker basin.
Was dark when we crossed this point in the morning around 4:30 a.m.; but this is what it looked like a few hours later.
Dreamweaver.
Sean.
Marc and Chris.
Sean working his way up one of the awkward dry sections.
Quick detour to Mt. Meeker Ridge.
Back to the Meeker summit.
Chris on Mt. Meeker.
Enjoying the view of Longs. Was eager to go for the Beaver since we were so close and had the right protection, but I got out voted.
Loft is such a great descent when it's snow covered.
Back on the trail.
Beta for next time.
The end.

when the snow melts, you finally decide to climb a 13er? Interesting priorities you have Carl. We saw no less than 9 or 10 groups climb this guy when we were up there a few weeks ago. Its like the keyhole route of the spring in that region. Looks fun regardless.
This is a route I‘d like to hit - nice job getting it albeit unfavorable conditions. Nice TR Carl. Let‘s get out rock-climbing with Dayna and Lance this summer!
Definitely didn‘t freeze the night before we were there but the snow wasn‘t bad. Only post-holed a few times lower down where it isn‘t as steep. I‘d say the snow conditions are good right now for heading up or down the loft.
Skiing anything less than 14,000ft just wouldn't feel the same. Worked out pretty nice though, climbing the 14ers in April & May when they aren't crowded. Did feel strange being so close to Longs and not heading to the top. Going to go for the Beaver weekend after this if you're interested.
