LOST SHEEP WILL TYPE UP THE DETAILED TRIP REPORT BUT HERE ARE SOME PICS FROM YESTERDAY. SNOW WAS REAL SOFT WE WITNESSED A COUPLE WET SLIDES. DIDN'T MAKE KIT CARSON THE AVE WAS SNOWED IN. WE ROPED UP AND GOT 3/4 OF THE WAY ACROSS BEFORE TURNING BACK DUE TO LACK OF TIME AND SHADY CONDITIONS. THIS WAS MY FIRST SANGRE DE CRISTO PEAK AND I CAN SAY THE VIEWS OF THE VALLEY,SAND DUNES AND CRESTONES WERE BREATHTAKING!

Great shots, Paul. The one of the multiple people crossing is very cool and very non-Colorado looking to me. Its easy to become desensitized to the difficulty that hiking out here can bring. Easy to forget the level of mountaineering these mountains can really offer.
