 Pikes - Crags
This is my first trip report and first time editing pics as you can prob tell. We decided the night before to go on this hike so I didn't study the route too much as I prob should have.

The campground was closed but we were able to park at the gate so it wasn't far to the trailhead. I wasn't paying attention and we didn't turn right on trail 664A so we had to turn around when we realized our mistake. We crossed the first creek crossing at the log bridge.

We saw the sign to Devils Playground which confirmed we were on the right trail this time.

A little further we crossed another log bridge that looked pretty much the same as the first one.

There was then another creek crossing but there was no bridge at this one.

When we got above the treeline we could see the saddle. I thought going up to the saddle was the hardest part except the last 500 feet up to the summit.

The next photo is on top of the saddle.

Photo 7 is prob the most snow we had to cross for the whole hike. I postholed once about 6 inches (if that is even considered a posthole) but that was it. The snow isn't that deep but I could see some postholes about 1 foot deep.

Photo 8 shows the rocks you hike between.

You cross the road where the pavement ends and the dirt road begins right at Devils Playground. Right after the sign you turn right and continue hiking parallel to the road. Make sure you remember this spot where you crossed the road. We made the mistake of going a little too far on the way down and forgot to cross the road so we had to hike back up to devils playground. If your hiking down and can see the paved road going down then you went too far.

Photo 10 shows hiking parallel to the road.

Photo 11 shows some snow and ice on the left side of the rock wall so we hiked on the road to bypass it.
Image

Photo 12 shows the rest of the route up to the summit. There were some switchbacks going up the class 2 which I used sometimes while other times i just went straight up.
