May 21, 2008 hike to Keyhole.
Went up to the Keyhole May 21, 2008. Trail did not turn left at Lighting Bridge but instead went pretty much straight up at Alpine Creek to treeline. Lots of snow on the trail after the first couple miles to just past treeline. Then the ground was clear off and on to Chasm Junction. Then lots of snow between CJ and Granite Pass. The pass itself was very clear then lots of snow between the boulder tops in the boulder field and on up to the Keyhole.

But the snow was melting fast!
