| Kelso Ridge Night Ascent w/ Summit Bivy |

This was a sick climb. A buddy and I decided it would be fun to rock a night ascent of Torrey's and sleep on the top. We started about 8:30pm. During the walk in we decided that just walking up the standard route would not be anything to write home about so we decided to hit Kelso Ridge. The only issue we had on the way up was some sketchy route finding. The trail would often split and we kind of had to guess which one to take. We had to downclimb a couple areas due to some extravagant deadends and probably climbed a few class 5 areas we shouldn't have. I guess that's what happens trying to navigate within a headlamp beam. We summited at 12:00am and slept for a bit. I awoke to my partner exhibiting symptoms of AMS so I rousted him out of the sleeping bag and we made the descent via the standard route around 1:30am. In all it was a great trip.
