Left TH @ 5am trail easy to follow thru trees. Once above trees alittle different.First 2000 vert.(approx) steady--final pitch slow for old man got passed three times yet last two parties on summit with--5hrs up and 21/2 hrs down and I‘m kinda worn!! Quite a bit of postholing a way down---cheers , upward and onward.

Quandary without shoes

I just used hiking poles and there were only a few areas that sucked---I imagine in a couple weeks conditions will be much better 8) ---have fun

I am heading there in a couple weeks here, you mentioned the postholing, did you take snow shoes or didn't you need them? Any need for Crampons for you?
