the construction on the road from georgetown to guanella pass caused quite a delay. we sat for 20 minutes on the way up (about 7 a.m.) and on the way back sat longer in much heavier traffic. if i were to do this again i'd leave a half-hour earlier. can‘t say we enjoyed listening to honking machinery for the first hour of the hike. also: willows area was quite wet, a good bit of mud. nothing unpassable but just fyi.
