Stay Off The Tundra (Chicago Basin 2019)

After massive procrastination of more than 5 years (!), I finally completed my trip report to Chicago Basin back in the summer of 2019. This was a 4-day trip to the Weminuche with two of my buddies, totaling 26 miles and almost 10,000 ft of elevation gain. The report is quite extensive, almost 4,500 words and 74 photos! And if you recall, Colorado was hit hard the previous winter with above average snowfall and historic avalanche events all across the state. So, as you'll see here, the snow coverage in early August was super impressive.

This report was a real treat. The video of the Eulos “catwalk” had my full attention as I watched from the chair on my patio.

Blessings!
