The bases of these sleds are coated with a new non caloric silicone based kitchen lubricant Brandon has been working on. The lubricant creates a sliding surface 500 times more slippery than any known cooking oil. As Brandon mentioned above... we are professionals. So please... don't try this without the proper coaching and mentorship.

I've had some good fun in the mountains riding $10 Paris sleds, but nothing quite so steep or fast. Backcountry sledding is some of the best value-for-money I can imagine -- way better on those terms than AT skiing.
