This trail had some of the most beautiful views. I imagine its even more beautiful in the spring, but seeing the aspens turning was nice. I think this was the windiest hike I have ever been on. A friend, my lab, and myself were on the trail by about 7:00. We only saw about eight other people the entire time. We did manage to make it through the 4X4 part of the trail with my 2WD Dodge Dakota. There was only one dip were a 4WD would have been prefered, but having a bit of clearance was the most important. I dont know if I would recomend trying this during the wet months though. All in all it was a great hike with fantastic views!
