 North Slopes

Good day, We ascended the north slopes a few weeks back and here are some helpful comments. The snow ascent is steep in spots but all there. We kicked steps with microspikes and axes, staying stacked in the tight sections. The class 3 to the summit from the headwall above the couloir is exciting. The descent was not good for glissading. It was too fast and step resulting in a self arrest each time. We had to descend on the steep class 2 scree and rock which is very loose. You will cause a lot of rockfall and do not go into the gully if it does not contain snow. Great summit, beware of rockfall in the couloir.

Thank you for contributing but this is not a trip report and will be removed. What we consider a trip report on 14ers.com was explained in the message displayed to you when you followed the "Add a Report..." link.

@BillMiddlebrook - why censor this? Just leave it. He took the time to post, let it stand. It's not like there's so many posts that we're all wading through a bunch of poor trip reports before we find a good one. I'd much prefer whatever 14er.com review team is out there look into why you cannot embed a video from rumble? I sent the team a note explaining the issue but have not heard back.
