Cooper Peak-South Buttress (Class 4) & North Couloir (steep snow)

Incredibly fun Class 4 route on grippy rock. Over in 45 minutes if you’re moving slowly, and you avoid downclimbing any Class 3 or 4 sections by looping around via the Cooper Peak-Marten peak saddle. VERY long single day or great activity while camping at Gourd Lake. Bonus route (North Couloir). GoPro Footage of both routes in the blog and also linked here. Indian Peaks Wilderness-Northern Colorado (western side of the wilderness).

Description (w/ marked up pics and video links): Cooper Peak South Buttress

Video of South Buttress (Class 4)

Video of North Couloir (steep snow + Class 3 alt. finish)
