Longs and Meeker via Gorrells Traverse

If you don't mind the extra mileage (and extra bushwhack), doing Meeker/Longs via Wild Basin is one way to get into RMNP while avoiding the summer crowds. Gorrell's Traverse is a much more exciting option than Clark's Arrow to link the two, while also allowing you to summit SE Longs!

Hm, very cool find man! Just going off google maps, did you roll through Lyons on 36 up to forest road "47" to Coulson Gulch Trailhead then made your way to Pierson park south after merging onto "82E"? Looks like it would def go to P2P.

From Meeker, heading towards Lyons, you do take 82E to Johnny Park. That'll eventually pop you out to 36 around Pinewood Springs. Not too bad! Bummer to be on 36 after being off pavement for so long, but it's mostly downhill and goes quick. Once Heil Valley Ranch opens back up, that route will be pretty full value for MTB riding. Wish I could figure out a better way to get to 47/Johnny Park (or around there) without getting on 36 though.

I've got all the routes I've taken to Longs Peak in this Caltopo:

https://caltopo.com/m/QML0

The one through Johnny Park is currently listed as, LP6: Boulder to East Longs Peak TH via Joder, Heil, Johnny Park

sweet map too. Ya getting to Ralph Price res looks doable but I'm not sure how'd you get to 82E from there and also not sure how I much I believe the trails line on the below website when comparing to satellite view. It ain't gonna be super direct haha but its also gonna avoid highway,...if anyone can figure it out its you!
