 Report
Was up to Bierstadt on Sunday (1-22-06) and the scene has changed a bit from Andys trip. Snowshoes are extremely helpful and I would even say needed at least 3/4 of the trip. There is a defined trail but my buddy left his snowshoes and regretted it. We both summitted (i had snowshoes, he didnt) but he was definately worked harder. If for some reason you dont have snowshoes, but you are fit, you can make it. Also, the last ~mile of the road was not plowed and my front wheel drive sedan didnt make it. Hopefully that will have been cleared out for tomorrow when I go for Evans. Thanks to the the guy that drove me to the top!
