Casual attempt thwarted - and another helpful "path"?

Many is the time I have banged around this upper upper snake river drainage - both winter and summer. and I have bagged at least one or two of these mtns in some bad snow years like this one.

alas this wasn't that day. But I did have some fun - and after following snowmobile tracks the main way was lucky to find an old ski track to follow further up. But for the weather rolling in early i may have punched all the way up. But it was punishingly deep snow at times once I stepped off the ski track.

Yes.

Jibler's junction - the skier went left and down. I pulled hard right and UP.
