Following the Snowboarding Trickster Coyote's Path

OK 14ers - trying to feed the fever for more trip reports - with albeit a rather brief hike. This one clocks in around 1.5 miles one way by google's measure..

And recall that I don't like snowshoes. I just busted up there hoping for the best with snow trudging - and was doing OK until about 1/3rd of the way up. Increasing depths of snow. Hike becoming UNREASONABLE!!!

The Snowboard/Coyote Trickster Path

I have followed many a snowmobile track in the winter. But I was surprised how a single pass of a snowboard had measurably compacted the snow. And obviously this Coyote had also seen this.

(I thought at first this was a dog companion of the snowboarder but the prints are much fresher than the track)

But the impetus to have full fledged trip report to back up this observation is based on the amount of fun

- plus cool light and weird shadows seen that day.

The Snowboard part of path is over - dare I continue to follow the coyote? alone?

This is Ophir from Dillon - it is the low center/left mtn with the clear cut.
Oh also - I have to give a shoutout to my favorite movie right now - Under the Silver Lake - because following a coyote is part of that and I've been obsessed with that movie for all of quarantine. Probably seen that like 20 times now. It is perfect for times like these.
