Left camp at about 6 with a small # of cars in the parking lot. Decided to go via Kelso Ridge which was a great idea. There were only two people ahead of us and we passed them. A little windy on parts of the ridge and the class 4 was fun with the knife ridge being the highlight of the day. Had the Torreys to ourselves for about 5 minutes and then we headed over to Greys. SOOOOOO many people were headed up and some already at the top. Ive been spoiled by the San Juan Solitude so this was a big shock for me, especially seeing groups of 10+ going up all at once. I cant say enough about alpine starts if only to beat the crowds on such mountains.
