Democrat/Cameron/Lincoln/Bross/S. Bross- Kite Lake
On Wed night I met up with my friend from Ut and we camped out at Kite lake. I arrived after 6pm and all the campsites were full. Lucky for me my buddy arrived much earlier and was able to secure a site for us. He fed us like kings that night with buffalo steaks, grilled shrimp, and corn on the cob.
As many others have already posted we were a little concerned about the access issue that has been raised in other threads but we saw no signs and no one "official" came around our entire trip.
FYI the pay station was easy to find and there was a single receptacle for both the day use and camping fee. Upon entering the pit toilet a sign will remind you what your fee goes to pay for.
We both have 4 wheel drive high ground clearance vehicles so the last 1/4 mile that stopped a few passenger cars was not an issue for us.
We both took a hike up to Lake Emma that evening. Which is well worth it and something I did not see many of the people up there doing.
Woke up at 5am but we were in no hurry to get an early start so we had a leisurely breakfast and ended up hitting the trail at about 6:30am along with about 10 other people.
The climb up democrat certainly spread the field of climbers out and for the uninitiated its a slog.
once we reached the top of the false summit it was short hike across a snow field to the true summit.
By the time we summited the parking lot was completely full.
We stayed on the summit long enough to take in the views, snap a few photos, and then we headed off to Cameron.
This hike down off Democrat was steep and then back up to Cameron was more of the same. Cameron is one flat summit....
Upon summiting Cameron we were glad that we did not delay our departure any longer than we did as we saw probably 20 people on the summit of democrat and the trail up probably had another 10 or so people on it.
It was basically a stroll over to Lincoln, with on minor scramble area..less than 20ft right before the summit.
Lincon was my favorite of the 4 peaks and we spent some time up there talking with some fellow hikers, they were up from Arizona getting away from their broken AC and the heat.
The trip across to Bross was easy and we passed a jeep and Range Rover parked in a saddle near the top. Afte a brief conversation with a family from Oklahoma we ended up taking the short hike over to South Bross and ate our lunch there.
The scree skiing off of Bross was definitely fun but we had loads of dirt and rocks to empty out of our boots.

We ended up back at the trucks by 1:30pm and we toyed with heading over to Quandry but decided to leave it for another day.
We stopped in Alma to throw back a brew and to down some nachos before heading back to our respective homes. Great weather, great food, great company and overall a great trip

good pics and nice report. my son and I are going to hit those 4 peaks this coming May or possibly June.
