Labor Day weekend. Sunday Sept. 4/2005
Left Oklahoma (1,100) Friday about 11:30pm. Arrived in Lake City Saturday around noon. Drove to the trail head and camped overnight. Started Sunday am around 7:30 colorado time, about 40* air temp. Took the normal route, with no problems. Clouds covered the peak 80% of the time. Once on top, still cloudy with no wind. Around 20 people on the trail for the day. No snow, trail was in great condition.
