 Cameron Amphitheater is Loaded!!!!

I used the jeep trail (Crest Road) from Roberts Road (vicinity Quartzville TH) for my ascent. I used Quartzville Creek as my descent route. There was a ton of snow in the Mosquito Range today and I was able to skin/ski continuously from/to my car to the summit of Cameron Peak. The snow is so sweet. There are plenty of continuous lines to ski down into the amphitheater and you can run the creek right to Roberts Road. It was cold and a little windy, but otherwise, favorable weather. I did this trip solo. I saw two other skiers to the north, who were hitting Mount Lincoln. I think they must have started from Lincoln Falls, because there were no other tracks from Quartzville except mine. I started at 0830 and summited at 1155. My descent time was 42 minutes for 3.68 miles. All good. Recommend this route now while the trail is in and the creek drainage is full of snow. It is a sweet intermediate ski descent.

Another view looking east to Colo Hwy 9 and Mount Silverheels; the descent awaits with plenty of snow for many, many lines.
